THERE ARE PHYSICAL CLIMATE CONTROLS RIGHT THERE. Unless you’ve been convinced by the salesperson otherwise, you don’t need the nav screen to control your A/C or heater, so this nav crash issue shouldn’t be a problem. And just use your phone for nav, people.
I don’t know if it’s been said already, but not only is the Lexus interface utterly dumb and hard to use, but the maps are out of date often. So there’s no point to using Lexus nav, ever.

lol Volvo and Aston’s nav is the lamest (excl xc90). Lexus has a rad set up! Always been a fan from touch to mouse thing.

Even though BMW seems to do everything through idrive, they’ve kept the physical climate control interface. I think that was the right way to go, it’s less distracting and easier to use. Even if some of the newer ones lack a “sync” button so you can adjust both the drivers and passangers side temperature at the same time, that is annoying.

I’m assuming the S90 and V90 have the XC90 system, right?

yes. Once* you get the hang of the original Volvo Sensus Connect (Aston unit) it’s fine.
*a loooong time

You’re overestimating the intelligence of some people.

As of 42 seconds ago the global reset is supposed to be the "final solution" (sounds ominous right?). The vehicles we were doing this to yesterday will have to be reset again because when the engineers were working through a solution last night they resent the original update that caused the issue in the first place.

it’s more fun to press the voice recognition button on the steering wheel and say “it’s hot in here” and have the car automatically adjust the temperature
